Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan, Rabita Committee on Wednesday called upon the central leadership and Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), to clarify a reportedly provocative speech of Sindh Home Minister, Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, within 10 days.

The MQM body said it be clarified that the reported provocative speech of Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza was his personal opinion and it has no link with the PPP policy.
These views were expressed by member MQM Rabita Committee, Raza Haroon while talking to media after an emergency meeting of MQM body held at Azizabad here on Wednesday.
He said an important joint meeting of the MQM Rabita Committee London and Pakistan members held detailed discussions on the prevailing situation in the country as well as other matters of vital importance.
Raza Haroon said the Rabita Committee expressed regret that if the reported provocative speech of Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, was not a part of the policy of PPP, then why it has not been clarified and why notice of the same has not been taken till date.
If the speech is not clarified, then MQM will be free to take opinion from its office- bearers, supporters and people with regard to its future course of action about remaining part of the government or parting ways.
The MQM leader said his party is a pro-democracy political entity and it considers difference of opinion as part of democracy.
He said the MQM had remained part of previous government for five years but it always openly and strongly opposed all anti-Sindh steps.
Speaking about separation of JUI-F from the government, he said the Rabita Committee considers the decision of the JUI-F as its democratic right.
He said the meeting observed that it is better for the future of democracy that the reservations of the coalition partners of the government be removed.
He said maintenance of peace during Muharram- ul- Haram is the utmost priority of his party and the MQM will continue to play its role for promotion of inter-faith harmony and unity among Muslims.
He said the MQM believes in an amicable settlement of the political differences and it makes decisions in the greater interests of the country in accordance with the aspirations of the people. MQM leaders, Wasey Jaleel and Faisal Sabzwari were also present on the occasion.
