PNCA holds `Sufi Aman Mela’ tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Culture in collaboration with Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Culture Department Sindh will hold a peace festival entitled `Sufi Aman Mela’ on March 13 at Hyderabad. The event aims at promoting cultural activities, entertainment and awareness with the theme based on peace, harmony and brotherhood, Director General PNCA, Tauqeer Nasir said while talking to News Agencies here Friday.
Eminent folk artists will present folk music accompanied by the verses of Sufi saints while various segments of the festival
will highlight the teachings of Sufi saints for promoting peace and harmony in the region.
The festival is a part of a series of Sufi Peace Festivals held at Multan and Lahore by PNCA in which the students and children of various educational institutions of the area participated besides the residents of the area, Tauqeer Nasir said.
